The beginning of SENI Cup League fell in 1992, when the game of Disabled People’s Football League, organized by the Sports and Cultural Association ‘We Play On’ took place for the first time in Strzałkowo. Toruń Dressing Material Plants SA were one of the sponsors for a few editions of the Tournament. In 2000 Toruń Dressing Material Plants SA decided to participate even more actively in the organization of the enterprise and widen the circle of its participants. It was then that it started to be called the ‘Polish National Football Team of Disabled people’ and its development gained increasingly fast momentum. A few years later, the League went global. It was joined by foreign teams, among others from Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Qualifying tournaments are organised in a few European countries. The League is developing, new teams are joining tournaments, but its aims have remained unchanged since the beginning:

• football promotion among the mentally disabled,
• creation of participation conditions in sport, competition opportunities which stimulate physical development,
• active therapy of Tournament participants,
• integration of people suffering from mental disabilities with the society on the bases of acceptance and respect.
